Intriguing! I had been using a combination of iPodder and iPodderX Lite for my podcasts, and still do to some extent, but I have recently started using NewsFire as well. Reason being that, for some podcasts, I just want to listen to them once and never put them on my mp3 player, so importing them into iTunes and having to delete them later is really just work I don’t need to do.

The one drawback with doing this with the current version of Newsfire is that it doesn’t seem to keep audio content around very long, so if I interrupt the podcast and check another feed, when I come back I have to download the audio content again. It would be nice to be able to listen to a podcast while reading other feeds too, but maybe at that point I should be using iTunes.

Anyway, cool, I’m interested to see what you’ve got in store for us.

Very nice.

Not to be an ass but I hope we’ll get some control on the retrieval of podcasts as well. I subscribe to a few feeds that I’m not interested grabbing the each podcast for and it’s always bothered me that I can’t turn that feature off or have some control over.

Wow.

I can’t wait for the 29th.

the 29th? I presume you’re referring to Tiger, but even so, I don’t see how that relates to the screenshot?

Adam...

Sweet. Can’t wait. I’ll definitely be purchasing Newsfire after Tiger is out ( provided no new amazing newsreaders come out ;) ) I’ve tried safari rss and it is terrible compared to a standalone newsreader.

Jon...

Mmmm, very slick. Any clues as when this beauty will land?

Looks very nice! Maybe this will give me a little nudge into the world of podcasting.
